neutrogenabeachdefense Poor Cole has very sensitive skin. I’ve talked about it a bit on the blog here before but he basically gets patches of eczema in the summer months. He’s just fine in the winter but the combo of the pool chlorine, sun and sun tan lotion is just too much on his skin – especially the back of his legs and his feet. In previous years, we’ve had nights where he lays awake crying because the back of his legs itch so much.

This summer has been the best summer we’ve had for his eczema – maybe he’s growing out of it but mostly I think it’s from finally discovering the right sunscreen for his particular skin. We’ve been using only Neutrogena’s Beach Defense – SPF 70 on him and he has had hardly any eczema at all. (It’s not totally gone but it’s 25% of what it was last summer). He doesn’t complain that it itches or irrirates him and he does when we put other lotions on it.

I also love that it’s for the whole family. You can get Neutrogena Beach Defense 30 or 70 – both great entire-family sunscreens. This week only, Drugstore.com is offering 20% off all Neutrogena products so it’s a good time to check this product out if you are looking to test something new on sensitive skin in your family!
